Last Friday was a day full of smiles, gratitude, and celebration as we had the privilege of presenting checks to two incredible educators who are making a difference in Cabarrus County Schools!
Congratulations to:
- Heather Shulman from Hickory Ridge Elementary, the recipient of the Strick Dalton Innovation Classroom Grant
- Alexandria Scott from Jay M. Robinson High School, awarded the Bert Thomas Storytelling Grant.
These grants represent more than just financial support—they’re an investment in creativity, engagement, and the transformative power of education.
Our Classroom Grants program is designed to empower teachers to bring innovative ideas to life, inspiring students and creating unique learning experiences. Whether it’s sparking curiosity through hands-on STEM projects or building connections through the art of storytelling, these grants provide the resources teachers need to enhance their classrooms and make lasting memories for their students.
The impact of these grants is far-reaching. They enable educators to think outside the box, develop meaningful programs, and engage students in ways that ignite a love for learning. From boosting student confidence to fostering critical thinking and collaboration, classroom grants create opportunities that can shape the future for students in Cabarrus County Schools.
We can’t wait to see these grants in action and to share the incredible stories that will unfold in Heather Shulman’s and Alexandria Scott’s classrooms. Stay tuned for future updates as we visit their schools and witness firsthand the transformative impact of these projects.
Thank you to our community partners, the Strick Dalton and Bert Thomas families, who made these grants possible. Together, we are inspiring learning, building life skills, and preparing young minds for a bright future!
