Every year, Cabarrus County Schools commemorates Youth Art Month through a street festival that includes showcasing artworks, street presentations, and the ceremony for art accolades. Unique creations crafted by CCS students spanning Kindergarten through 12th grade are put on exhibit, while street performances by choral and theater ensembles from various CCS schools provide entertainment. This event offers an excellent opportunity to illuminate the talent of our remarkable art students and their impressive achievements.
The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the Superintendent’s Choice Art Awards. The Superintendent personally selects four new artworks to join the enduring art compilation exhibited at the CCS Education Center. A recipient is chosen from each educational tier (elementary, middle, and high school) and a 3-D piece, receiving not only this esteemed recognition but also a monetary prize of $100 courtesy of CCEF.
