This interactive and fun day is all for learning about career possibilities and making them come true!

Want to try coding? See the inside of a police bomb squad car? Use a welding device for the first time?  Most vendors have hands-on activities for you to explore and learn more about their industry. Find out what career paths you or your child might be interested in at this event and how to make them a reality.

Businesses will be on hand to discuss career possibilities as well as internship, apprenticeship, summer jobs, and more. You might just fill out a job application right on the spot so be prepared! We recommend you bring a resume, a list of previous employment including dates, references and any letters of recommendations you have.

You can make your career plans come true:

  • Meet with trade schools who will be onsite to talk about next steps after school to help you achieve your goals
  • Attend interactive sessions that prepare you for the workforce giving students tips about how to score that job interview, what to wear to the office and more.
  • Learn from some amazing business leaders about careers outside the box and how to develop key leadership skills on the job.

You don't want to miss this amazing opportunity. Talk to your CTE teacher to register.

We were looking forward to seeing the amazing impact of another successful Cabarrus County Career Connections Day where companies found valuable employees and students learned about careers available here in Cabarrus County and how to prepare for them.

Unfortunately, with the announcement of two presumptive positive cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus in Mecklenburg County today and the fast spreading nature of the virus, the decision has been made to cancel the Cabarrus County Career Connections Day that was scheduled for April 7, 2020. No decision has been made as to whether the event will be postponed to a later date.
